On Saturday may 7, 2016 igniteYYC hosted an event at the Standard Modern Speakeasy & Social Club to benefit Hearts and Hammers.
The theme being “oil is in the dirty 30’s”, Prohibition-era attire consisting of flapper dresses for the ladies and flashy suspenders for the men was encouraged.
Everyone who attended had a great time and it was so nice to hold a fundraising event in an upscale place with a chance to dress up in clothing from another era. Big shout-out to Heather Patrao for her tremendous effort to make the silent auction such a great success. Heather and our team of volunteers solicited prizes and donations, which Heather gathered together. and then coordinated setting up the auction at the Standard with a few volunteers.
The H&H team would like to thank and acknowledge all our supporters, both corporate and individuals. Big thanks to all the volunteers and everyone who came to the party. Collectively, you all made this event a successful fundraiser!
