More love from the FCL Community Investment Fund

At our latest monthly Board meeting held on December 7, 2015 Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) dropped by with another huge donation cheque for $11,000 plus $1,500 in Co-Op gift cards! FCL representatives Sarah Boechler and Phil Charbonneau made the presentation to the Hearts and Hammers Board on behalf of their Community Investment Fund.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is a local employer, providing wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative services to its retail member-owners.They provide support for all the retail Co-Ops throughout Western Canada. The Community Investment Fund supports community programs by giving back to non-profit and charitable organizations selected and evaluated by employee-led committees based on the organization’s value in keeping local communities strong and vibrant.

This is the second time this year that FCL has generously supported us, the first time being a $5,000 cheque present by Donavon Nelson during the September Board meeting!

We are very honored having the continued support by FCL’s Community Investment Fund. This money will go a long way to provide renovations next year for deserving individuals with mobility challenges and economic need to remain in their homes. If you are aware of any individual meeting these qualifications, please nominate them.

Big shout-out again to the great people from Federated Co-operatives Limited!
