Recently Hearts and Hammers members, supporters and friends celebrated the Martime’s love of life and music with an East Coast Kitchen Party at the Atlantic Tap and Gill pub in Calgary. It was a fun filled evening with live music. Over and above the great music, the highlights included:
- Getting ’Screeched in’ — a traditional Newfoundland ritual that saw several folks bravely take the oath, drink the Screech and kiss the cod (although it was bit easier than usual as they only had to kiss a stuffed cod and not a real one!)
- Great silent auction where many people went home with some interesting items
- A raffle for a full day of cat skiing at Fortress Mountain and a great 50/50 draw
Great food and fun… all for a great cause!
We would like to thank all who attended as well as the Atlantic Trap & Gill for their great support in making the East Coast Kitchen Party a great Success!
Proceeds from this event will be going to upcoming projects and are greatly appreciated.
